What is the Homeschool Zombie Prom?

The Homeschool Zombie Prom is a formal dinner dance for teen homeschoolers and their guests in zombie attire.


How do I get tickets for the prom?

Go to the registration page, fill out the form and pay the appropriate fee at the ticket window.


Will there be a dress code for the prom?

Attendees are encouraged to “zombify” a formal or semiformal outfit. This is not required.

Costumes are acceptable, but please no full masks.


How old do I have to be to attend the prom?

Attendees must have turned 13 by the date of the prom.


Can a non-homeschooler attend the prom?

A non-homeschooler may attend the prom as a guest of a current homeschooler. The guest must be at least 13 years old by the date of the prom.


What kind of music will be played at prom?

All kinds, including group dances emceed by our professional DJs. They encourage even our youngest attendees to the dance floor.

Music for the prom will be provided by professional DJ services.


How Long is the prom?

Four hours, from 7:00pm to 11:00pm. All attendees must have rides waiting for them at 11:00pm sharp.


When can my parents, family and friends enter the ballroom on prom night?

Parents are permitted in the ballroom during the last song to facilitate pick up, however they can take pictures prior to prom on the grand staircase in the lobby prior to the ballroom opening.


Will anyone be taking photos during the prom?

Candid shots will be taken throughout the night, which  will be available online a few weeks after the prom.

A photo booth is available for pictures using fun props. Photo strips will be printed at the time of the picture.

How will dinner be served?

There will be appetizers, salad, a buffet dinner, beverages, topped off with dessert. Please notify us of dietary restrictions.


Will there be assigned seating at the prom?

No,all attendees will receive a place card at check-in and should place it at an available seat.


Do teens arrive in Limos?

Limo Services are unnecessary as most teens are brought by family members and arrive


Can I leave the prom before the prom is over?

If you are over 18 you will be issued a wristband, you may leave, but will only be allowed back into the prom at the discretion of the chaperones.
If you are under 18, you may leave early ONLY with your parent/guardian.


Do most teens come by themselves, in groups, or with an escort/date?

Homeschoolers attend the prom by themselves, in groups, with siblings or with a date. It’s a fantastic night to make new friends.


Where can my family stay for the night or the weekend?

The White Sands has rooms available.

Please note that a parent or guardian must be present in every room; IDs will be checked.(Must be 21 or older to check in.)

One night’s security deposit required at time of reservation. 48 hour cancellation policy.

Here are a few more motels and resorts in Point Pleasant Beach where families can hang out with other families while the teens dance the night away.

 


What is there to do in Point Pleasant Beach?

The Jenkinson’s Aquarium is open year round. Mon-Fri 9:30am-5pm Sat & Sun 10am-5pm. The Aquarium Gift Shop, the Jenkinson’s Sweet Shop, and arcades are all open daily year round. And, of course, there is the Jenkinson’s Boardwalk and the beautiful sandy beach of the Atlantic Ocean.

The amusement park kiddie rides (rides suitable for small children) is open on weekends, weather permitting, beginning the weekend before Easter.


Can my parents chaperone?

At this time, all chaperone spaces are filled.
